Welcome To Abel School of Motoring
Abel School of Motoring are a multi-lingual driving school based in South Manchester which has been established for over 20 years and provides driving courses for beginners, and also provides refresher courses for people to DVLA test standards.
Abel School of Motoring currently operates in the North Manchester areas of Cheetham Hill, Salford and Prestwich as well as South Manchester areas of Chorlton, Stretford, Urmston, Whalley Range, Hulme, Moss Side, Old Trafford, Sale and Altrincham
Our professional driving instructors are multi-lingual and we offer driving instructions in Urdu, Arabic, Gujarati, Bengali and will soon be providing instructions for Hindi and a range of Esatern European languages. Our driving instructors are so well qualified that in most cases they can tell the client how many lessons they will need to pass the driving test; we will always be at your side, helping you to pass your driving test as quickly as possible.
All our driving instructors are trained to DVLA standards and undergo regular training courses to ensure that they adhere to the strict criterion set by the DVLA.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and this is reflected by the fact that the majority of our clients are referals from existing people who have passed their test with us and have recommended us to their friends and family members. So much so that in some cases we have trained generations of the same family.
Our pricing structures are the most competitive in the whole of Manchester and we are very flexible in the times we are available to instruct you. We offer significant discounts for block booking of lessons and also offer refunds if you are fortunate enough to pass the test without utilising all you booked lessons*.
As well as running standard courses we provide 'fast track' courses which enable you to pass your driving test within 14 days.
Abel Driving also currently offers driving test software and books in Urdu, Arabic, Bengali and Gujerati (other languages to follow) for clients whose native langauage is not English.
Abel Driving School of Motoring is the most comprehensive driving school in Manchester and is the only school of it's kind that offers driving instructions in so many diverse languages. Quality without compromise comes as standard at Abel School of Motoring.

Abel School of Motoring - Important DSA Information and Guidelines
Background Information
In November 2010 Road Safety Minister, Mike Penning, announced that DSA is to stop the publishing of multiple choice questions and answers used in live theory tests for all categories, whilst still allowing the publication of revision theory test questions allow Crown copyright licensees access to the knowledge and understanding behind the theory test questions which has, until now, been exclusive to DSA official theory test publications stipulate how revision theory test questions are presented in revision materials.
The move is consistent with the introduction of independent driving into the driving test and DSA's decision to stop publishing test routes in October 2010. Some theory test candidates learn the entire range of questions and answers by rote, rather than learning about the driving/riding topic (eg traffic signs, hazard awareness etc), which encouraged some people to treat the theory test as a test of memory, rather than understanding.
Along with the theory test multiple choice questions and answers, DSA publishes in its official theory test materials additional information about driving theory, to help the learner understand the context of each question. This is the knowledge and understanding. For example
Question:
Before you make a U-turn in the road, you should:
Options:
A □ Give an arm signal as well as using your indicators
B □ Signal so that other drivers can slow down for you
C √ Look over your shoulder for a final check
D □ Select a higher gear than normal
The knowledge and understanding for this question reads: If you want to make a U-turn, slow down and ensure that the road is clear in
both directions. Make sure that the road is wide enough to carry out the manoeuvre safely.
The knowledge and understanding has, up until now, been used uniquely in DSAs own learning materials, but now DSA will allow you to use this text in your own products, under the terms of your licence agreement.
With this additional material comes an obligation to present the revision questions in a specific way and this is covered below at 1.3 Instructions on how to re-use these materials.
DSA will develop new theory test question banks - which will not be published - for use in the live tests from 1 January 2012. The current theory test question
banks will continue to be published as revision materials.
